Jeremy Whagado arrested for disrupting northern Arizona school

RIMROCK, AZ - A man has been arrested after entering a northern Arizona high school and allegedly making references to the Connecticut mass shooting.

Yavapai County Sheriff's officials say 22-year-old Jeremy Whagado is being held on suspicion of disorderly conduct and disruption of a school.

Rimrock High School officials say a man came into the office Wednesday requesting to remove two students without providing their names or proof of legal connection.

The office staff says the man became agitated when they refused to release any students to his care. They say he started making references to last week's fatal shootings at a Connecticut elementary school, but didn't make any direct threats.

Sheriff's deputies were called and the man was later found south of the high school. They say Whagado didn't have any weapons.
