Isabella Grogan-Cannella missing: Arizona girl's home searched after a body is found

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ - Law enforcement officers are searching the home of a missing 8-year-old Arizona girl following the discovery of a body in the area.

Authorities didn't immediately identify the body found Wednesday as being that of the girl, Isabella "Bella" Grogan-Cannella of Bullhead City, or provide a cause of death.

Thursday morning, investigators served a search warrant at the home and could be heard telling people in the home to come out with their arms up.

Dozens of police, firefighters and volunteers have fanned out in Bullhead City neighborhoods, nearby parks and river areas to look for Isabella.

She was last seen wearing a green, ruffled, sparkly tank top and dark shorts, and may have been barefoot. She is 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 85 pounds.

Isabella's family told police she wasn't in her bed or anywhere near the home early Tuesday. Her mother told authorities it would be unusual for Isabella to run away or leave without telling an adult, police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said.

About 40,000 people live in Bullhead City, which is on the Arizona-Nevada border some 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
