PHOENIX - Interstate 17 north of the Valley has been partially reopened after a fire sparked Tuesday afternoon near Sunset Point.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the right lanes going both north- and southbound have been reopened after an RV fire forced the closure just after 2 p.m.
Air15 video showed a vehicle completely engulfed in flames, as well as flames burning in the brush alongside the roadway.
According to Ken Shaver, the wildfire is estimated to have burned 200 acres and is 50 percent contained, as of 7 p.m.
Shaver said no structures are threatened and no one has been injured in the fire. He said crews will be mapping later tonight to provide a better number of the acreage burned.
Sunset Point is approximately 35 miles north of Phoenix.
