GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, AZ - A German tourist visiting the Grand Canyon died Monday, according to Grand Canyon National Park officials.
Wolfgang-Hans-Joachim Glöde, 64, of Sievershagen, Germany was on vacation with his wife and was staying at the Desert View Campground.
The National Park Service responded to a 911 call around 9:40 p.m. where bystanders were performing CPR on the man. Park medics used an automated external defibrillator upon arrival, however the victim could not be resuscitated.
The National Park Service and Coconino County Medical Examiner are investigating the incident.
