Fisher Fire in Flagstaff human caused, 75% contained, according to fire officials

Fire officials say they have confirmed the Fisher Fire burning south of Flagstaff was human caused.

Crews have gained considerable control of the wildfire near the Canyon Vista Campground.

Coconino National Forest spokeswoman Heather Noel said as of Sunday night, crews had the 175-acre Fisher Fire about 75% percent contained.

Noel said officials have confirmed the fire is human caused, but the specific cause is still undetermined.

Crews said anyone doing recreational activities should check for any trail or road closures.

Fire officials said Saturday no structures are threatened and no evacuations are necessary at this time.

More than 100 crew members have been battling the fire since it began Friday around 3 p.m. near the Fisher Canyon area.

Officials are asking those nearby to register for the emergency alerts called CodeRED.

Those interested can sign up on the Coconino County website .

Forest Service officials say the fire is in the same area of a wildfire from last year.
