'Jack Fire' in N. Arizona grows to 800 acres

HAPPY JACK, AZ - Firefighters are working to contain a wildfire burning in northern Arizona.

Coconino National Forest officials say the Jack Fire was reported around 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

It has grown to about 800 acres, according to fire officials.

No structures are threatened at this time.

The fire is burning about 13 miles northeast of Happy Jack in a canyon. It's burning mostly grass and pinyon-juniper near State Route 87.

State Route 87 was closed for several hours but reopened late Saturday afternoon.

The rock climbing area in Jack's Canyon has been evacuated and is closed at this time.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Happy Jack is located east of Camp Verde.
