PHOENIX - Chino Valley police seized more than $1,000 in methamphetamine Monday after a K9 unit reportedly smelled it in a suspect's vehicle.
Officers were questioning Jamie Bryant, 41, during a theft investigation when a K9 unit examined her vehicle and reportedly alerted police to the presence of drugs.
Police said a search turned up several grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and several prescription drugs. Police arrested Bryant on suspicion of multiple drug charges.
During booking at the Yavapai County Jail in Prescott, police say they found Bryant concealing an additional vial of methamphetamine in her mouth.
Bryant reportedly admitted to police that the methamphetamine was hers and that she planned to sell it.
The street value of the methamphetamine was estimated at $1,100.
