4 burned in N. Arizona mobile home fire

CANE BEDS, AZ - Four people were burned in a fire in northwestern Arizona early Saturday, according to authorities.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said Colorado City firefighters responded to a mobile home fire in Cane Beds, near the Arizona/Utah border.

When crews arrived they found four burn victims in the front yard.

The victims were identified as a mother and father of an 8-month-old daughter and a 15-year-old female friend of the family.

Carter said the mother of the baby was airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The toddler was airlifted to the Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The father of the baby and the 15-year-old girl were airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City.

At this point investigators believe the valve on the propane gas line was leaking behind the stove, Carter said. The ignition source is unknown.

There was no word on the conditions of the victims.
