KINGMAN, AZ - A Fort Mohave man is in custody on suspicion of extreme driving under the influence after he was found sitting in his car in a resident's front yard.
Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 22-year-old Richard Lewis Teeples had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.231 percent. That's nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08 percent for operating a vehicle in Arizona,
Sheriff's deputies say they found Teeples in his car early Tuesday and there was a strong odor of alcohol inside the vehicle.
Teeples told deputies he had been drinking earlier and he lost control of his car and crashed into the front yard.
Investigators say it appears Teeples' car struck two parked vehicles before ending up in the front yard.
Authorities say Teeples may also face property damage charges.
