Officials looking for man missing in Lake Havasu near Parker Dam

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - Mohave County Sheriff's officials are looking for a 62-year-old man who disappeared in Lake Havasu near Parker Dam Monday evening.

According to a news release, the man had jumped into the water from a boat to cool off, but high winds carried the boat too far away from him.

Those onboard attempted to throw the man a rope, but they were unable to get him. He failed to resurface.

Deupties searched Monday night, but were unable to locate the man.

Divers and other officials from Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Lake Havasu Police were expected to resume the search Tuesday morning.

The man was reportedly a visitor to the lake and was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
