Wildfire ignites near Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Crews have established a containment line around a new wildfire which broke out near Flagstaff Tuesday morning.

Coconino National Forest officials said the Pumphouse Fire has burned about 8 acres in the Kachina Village area.

It's about 7 miles south of Flagstaff between highway 89 and Interstate 17.

About 80 personnel responded to the fire.

No structures are threatened and no evacuations have been called for, officials said.

Officials expect to have control of the blaze by the end of the day.

The fire, believed to be human-caused, is under investigation.
