Suspects arrested after Flagstaff police say they robbed, forced meth use and held man at gunpoint

FLAGSTAFF - Flagstaff Police arrested three suspects accused of aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping on Wednesday, August 27.

Aaron Brown, a 32-year-old man with a prior felony, and another suspect reportedly held a man at gunpoint, forcing him to withdraw money from an ATM and hand it over to them. The man was also forced to use methamphetamine in order to prove that he was not working with police officers, Flagstaff Police says.

The suspects also reportedly forced the victim into his home, where they held him sawed-off shotgun at his chest behind closed blinds and doors.

The suspects realized that the victim's roommate was home at the time and chose not to shoot him.

Later that day, the victim was able to identify the suspects through a series of photos and police obtained search warrants for their homes. Brown and the second suspect were taken into custody. Shotgun ammunition, knives, marijuana, methamphetamine and an illegally altered shotgun with an "obliterated" serial number were seized.

A third suspect was also arrested during the incident on suspicion of aggravated assault on a police officer.

The two unnamed suspects were not found to have prior felonies. ABC15 is choosing not to identify all of the suspects until they have been formally charged.
