Northern Arizona University has dismissed the head coach of the women's basketball team.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports that the school confirmed in a statement Friday that "a change in leadership" had been made and Sue Darling was no longer coach.

Darling was expected to go into her fifth year with the team.

She has a 36-82 overall record and a 24-52 record in the Big Sky Conference.

According to NAU officials, assistant coach Robyne Bostick will serve as interim head coach for the upcoming season.

Bostick worked under Darling for the past four seasons as well as at Air Force from 1998-2001.

A national search for a new coach will start after the season ends.
