Flagstaff Fire Department is investigating after a series of human-caused wildfires in a local neighborhood Monday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched to three separate fires actively burning near North 4th Street around 5 a.m. Fortunately, all three were able to be quickly contained without threatening homes.

The fire department says Flagstaff has been dealing with human-caused fires, some malicious, and say they can be extremely dangerous, especially this time of year.

The close vicinity of the fires to homes is also worrying fire crews.

In late March, firefighters responded to a fire burning close to homes in a neighborhood near Fanning Drive and St. Moritz.

If you know anything about the cause of any recent fires in the Flagstaff area, call Flagstaff Fire Department.
