FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Coconino National Forest crews continue to battle a fire that sparked Thursday near Interstate 40 in Northern Arizona.
The fire had grown to more than 800 acres by Friday morning, but crews are working to fully contain the blaze over the next several hours.
The Engineer Fire has been confined to Camp Navajo.
Forest officials said the fire started about two miles south of I-40 and has been burning in a northeast direction.
The blaze was reported around noon Thursday.
Forest officials tell ABC15 I-40 could close in the area of Bellemont if the head of the fire comes within half a mile of the highway.
