FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Authorities have arrested a man suspected of starting a string of wildfires in a northern Arizona forest.
The identity of the man who was taken into custody Sunday night hasn't been released. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office wouldn't say Monday whether any charges have been filed.
Crews responded to reports of 10 fires over the weekend near Marshall Lake in Flagstaff.
Coconino National Forest spokesman Brady Smith says the fires scorched a combined 11 acres. He says the biggest one grew to 9 acres before it was contained.
Authorities say fire danger is high, but the forest is not under fire restrictions.
