A revolving sushi restaurant in the Valley has been ordered to pay almost $180,000 in back wages and damages.

An investigation by the US Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division (WHD) revealed overtime and record-keeping violations at Teharu Sushi.

The restaurant paid employees at their straight time rates, in cash, for any overtime hours.

The restaurant has been ordered to pay $158,860 in back wages and damages to 94 employees working at its locations. WHD has also assessed $20,940 in civil money penalties.
