Stabbing suspect turns self in to Scottsdale police

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A stabbing suspect is behind bars after turning himself in to Scottsdale police.

Scottsdale police say the suspect stabbed another man in the abdomen at the victim's apartment near 68th Street and Osborn Road Monday night.

Police said the suspect and victim were inside the victim's apartment when a verbal altercation turned physical, police said.

The suspect is accused of grabbing a kitchen knife, stabbing the victim and fleeing the scene.

At 10:45 p.m. the suspect arrived at the Via Linda police station and turned himself in, police said. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, the suspect is 27 years old and the victim is 36 years old. 

The victim was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect and victim's identities are not being released at this time.
