Scottsdale police looking for bank robbery suspects

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Authorities are looking for two suspects who robbed a BMO bank in Scottsdale Monday afternoon.

Scottsdale police spokesman Mark Clark said the robbery happened around 12:30 p.m. near Scottsdale and Deer Valley roads.

Clark said witnesses told police the bank was robbed by two males who displayed guns, demanded money and fled in a blue Ford Taurus with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities said no shots were fired, but bank employees and customers were threatened with the guns.

Officials said approximately ten minutes after getting the robbery call, police received reports of a vehicle fire near the bank.

Clark said police believe the suspects fled the bank in the Taurus, set the car on fire and left in another unknown vehicle.
