A former MMA fighter who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in Scottsdale in 2016 has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 29-year-old Rodolfo Andres Ramirez also was sentenced Tuesday to lifetime probation.

Ramirez was accused of kidnapping an intoxicated 22-year-old woman after she left a Scottsdale bar in September 2016.

Scottsdale police say surveillance video shows Ramirez carrying the woman over his shoulder to a parking garage.

Police say Ramirez then sexually assaulted the woman in public.

Ramirez originally pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Last month at a change of plea hearing, Ramirez pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.
