The Department of Public Safety says a reckless driver has been arrested on Loop 101 Pima near Raintree Drive in Scottsdale.
DPS says the incident started just after 4 p.m. on Monday. Emmanuel Gallegos, 25, suspected of DUI, allegedly didn't stop when troopers attempted to pull him over for weaving in and out of lanes. Troopers followed the vehicle, and the driver eventually hit the median wall and blew a tire.
DPS says a woman was also found in the car with a serious head injury that was not believed to be from the reckless driving incident. DPS now believes the woman sustained the head wound when she fell at a bar where they were both drinking.
That woman was taken to hospital for treatment and eventually released.
Gallegos was booked for unlawful flight, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
