SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Mother nature is making places like Scottsdale look more like Seattle this weekend.
Record-breaking rain caused accidents on slick streets and spotty flooding across the Valley.
Water was cascading over the dam at Tempe Town Lake Sunday night. Another sign of the rain we have seen in and around the Valley this week.
A skatepark in Scottsdale was partially flooded Sunday while late afternoon rains sent skaters scrambling for shelter. "It's all good," said skater Perry Waxman. "When it pours you can't skate, but when it's dry, everyone can have a good time."
Water could been seen flowing over a retaining wall and walking bridge at the park near McDowell and Miller Roads Sunday afternoon. Debris and a dead fish got caught up in the bridge railing.
Some nearby residents went for a walk to enjoy the cool, wet weather. "When it hasn't rained in a while, it always floods but we love it," said Natalia Welch.
