SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A pilot was forced to make a hard landing after an aircraft’s landing gear failed Friday morning in Scottsdale.
Sarah Ferrara with Scottsdale Airport said the pilot alerted the airport around 9 a.m. that he had landing gear problems.
Ferrara said the pilot circled around the airport a few times trying to engage the landing gear without success.
He made a belly landing and Ferrara said neither the pilot nor passenger were injured.
The airport was closed for a short time while the plane was removed from the runway using a crane.
