PD: Women stealing wallets, racking up thousands in charges in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Police are looking for two to three women who allegedly stole wallets and purchased thousands of dollars of goods at locations across the East Valley, Scottsdale Police say.

The Scottsdale Police Department is looking for the public’s help in finding these women, pictured above.

During the thefts, the suspects have gone into employees-only areas of the store, saying they need to use the bathroom. They then steal the employees’ wallets, police say.

After stealing the wallets, the women go to other stores like CVS, Wal-Mart, Target and Walgreen’s to purchase mostly baby items and gift cards, amounting to thousands of dollars, authorities say.

Similar crimes have also happened at retail clothing stores, yoga studios and tanning salons, according to police.

The suspects are described as black females, ages 25-35, sometimes wearing camouflage hats. One of the women may be pregnant, police say.

The two vehicles involved in the crimes are a 90s model white Chevy Lumina 4-door and a mid-2000s black Toyota Avalon.
