SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Police say a woman committed suicide by jumping over a rail from the second floor at Scottsdale Fashion Square on Sunday.
Scottsdale police Sgt. Ben Hoster said they received a call around 3 p.m. of a woman who was injured in a fall in the west end of the mall.
Hoster said the 65-year-old woman was standing out front of the T-Mobile store on the second level when she jumped over the railing and landed on the first floor in front of the Coach store.
The victim was taken to a Scottsdale hospital where she was pronounced dead just after 3:30 p.m.
Hoster said the investigation revealed the incident to be a suicide.
