PD: Valley woman facing assault charges after cutting woman with glass bottle

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Authorities say a Valley woman is facing assault charges after cutting another woman with a glass bottle Monday night.

Scottsdale police spokesman Dave Pubins said the incident happened around 7 p.m. near Granite Reef Road and McDonald Drive.

Police said the two women, who know each other, got into some sort of altercation.

Pubins said the suspect broke a glass bottle and gave the other woman a minor laceration to her upper body. 

Authorities said both women were transported to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital.

Pubins said the victim had minor injuries that were non-life-threatening and the suspect suffered non-life threatening cuts to her hands

Police said the two women were intoxicated when they got into the fight.

The women have not been identified at this time.
