PD: Three people sent to hospital after motorcycle and car crash in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Three people were sent to the hospital after a crash between a motorcycle and a car Friday evening, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department.

The accident happened at 130th Street and Shea Boulevard, according to officials.

Scottsdale police spokesman Mark Clark said a Honda sedan was attempting to make a left turn in front of the westbound motorcycle when the two vehicles collided.

Clark said the motorcycle driver and a passenger were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The Honda driver was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Clark said the investigation is ongoing, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this point.

Shea Boulevard was closed westbound at 136th Street for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

There is no further information at this time.
