PD: Man killed after vehicle collides with wall, tree in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A man died Monday afternoon after he was driving and collided with a wall and a tree, according to police officials.

The man was driving his car by himself near 66th and Cholla streets in Scottsdale when he lost control, hit a wall and a tree, and then came to a stop, according to Sgt. Mark Clark, a spokesman for the Scottsdale Police Department.

Authorities identified the victim Tuesday as 59-year-old David Klungvedt, of Scottsdale.

Officials are investigating what caused the vehicle to crash.

No other details were released.
