SCOTTSDALE, AZ - An elderly man was killed Wednesday morning after an apparent red light crash in Scottsdale.
According to Scottsdale police spokesman Mark Clark, an early investigation shows a Lexus sedan was traveling westbound on Camelback Road when it ran a red light at 64th Street.
The driver of the sedan struck the driver's side door of a Mercedes traveling southbound.
According to Clark, a passenger inside the Mercedes was killed. He has been identified as a 95-year-old Morrison Fox.
The driver of the Mercedes, 90-year-old Phyllis Fox, is hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the Lexus did not suffer any injuries and was taken into custody. He has been identified as 29-year-old Jordan Walker.
According to officials, Walker was driving with a suspended license and had several warrants for numerous traffic violations.
Walker has been cited for causing death and failing to stop for a red light.
Alcohol or speed are not considered to be contributing factors at this time.
