SALT RIVER, AZ - Multiple police agencies responded Sunday morning to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community after receiving reports of gunfire.
Officers responded to reports of individuals running between houses and shooting near Alma School Road and Montecito Avenue, according to Salt River police.
Five people were arrested and are currently in Tribal custody, according to SA Manuel Johnson.
Officers first arrived on scene around 2:25 a.m. where they heard "muzzled fire," said police.
Authorities set up a perimeter and instructed nearby residents to stay indoors, but turn their lights on in case police needed to conduct a welfare check.
Police said no officers exchanged gunfire and no one was injured.
Agencies that responded to the incident include Salt River police, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Scottsdale police, FBI and SWAT.
