SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Police identified a man who reportedly called 911 to say he strangled his wife Wednesday in their Scottsdale home.
Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said a 911 call came in around 11 a.m. from 61-year-old Michael J. Cohn, reporting that he strangled his wife in their house on N. 103rd Place near Bell Road and Thompson Peak Parkway.
The Cohn came out of the home when officers arrived and submitted to arrest without incident, Clark said.
Police then found his 60-year-old wife deceased in the home.
No one else lives at the residence, and no others were there at the time of the incident, Clark said.
Detectives are looking into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police said murder charges are pending.
