SCOTTSDALE, AZ - With sleeping bags in hand, chairs and even a jacket or two, people camped out overnight at Apple Stores across the country, including Scottsdale, awaiting the release of the latest iPhone models.
About 70 people waited in line overnight at the Apple Store in the Scottsdale Quarter.
Some people began lining up around 5 p.m. Thursday.
The iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C were released at 8 a.m.
The latest software for Apple mobile devices, iOS 7, was released this week with reaction both good and bad.
The Apple faithful say getting the latest gadget before anyone else is half the fun.
"I could've ordered it online but there's just something about having it today," said Arthur Lee
Part of the fun will be showing off their new purchase, and announcing it on social media.
Hunter Vermillion planned to tweet all about his new iPhone5.
"I'm gonna hashtag everything you can think of, #apple, #iphone, #hungry."
Vermillion waited four hours in line, under the Arizona sun, before being escorted into the store to buy one.
