Arizona jobs: Gov. Jan Brewer announces 600 ZocDoc jobs coming to Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Hundreds more jobs are coming to the Valley.

Gov. Jan Brewer and Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane announced Tuesday that 600 new jobs will be opening up in Scottsdale.

The New York-based company ZocDoc, a free service for patients to find doctors, will be opening a Valley office to improve customer service standards and to increase sales.

Brewer said in a press release, "ZocDoc's decision to expand its business to Scottsdale is wonderful news - not only for our state economy, but for Arizona jobseekers and the citizens who will rely on its premier services."

ZocDoc Founder and CEO Cyrus Massoumi said, "By building a team of excellent service and sales professionals in the Phoenix region, we will continue to improve upon the service we provide to patients and doctors every day."

ZocDoc plans to employ more than 650 area residents by 2016, and they plan to hire 66 people in the Phoenix region by the end of 2013.
