Scottsdale fire Capt. Adam Hoster said paramedics and technical rescue crews helped get the woman off a Pinnacle Peak trail after she became dizzy and lightheaded while hiking.
Crews used a stretcher with a big wheel to get the patient off the mountain.
Scottsdale paramedics transported the patient to a Scottsdale hospital for evaluation.
Hoster said hikers need to remember that when using Scottsdale's many hiking trails to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hiking shoes and appropriate light-colored clothing.
