SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Fire crews contained and isolated a room at a Scottsdale hospital after there was a reported chemical spill Sunday morning.
Scottsdale Battalion Chief Brian Read said crews from Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix fire departments responded to Scottsdale HealthCare Osborn Medical Center Sunday morning for a reported Hazardous Materials incident.
A piece of equipment attached to the outside of a CT Scanner broke resulting in a chemical spill, said Read.
Crews were able to contain the material and isolated the room, he said. The material was found to be non-hazardous and not a threat.
The hospital is open and accepting patients.
