SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Watertown, Mass. and its surrounding areas were put on lockdown this week as investigators desperately searched for the suspects allegedly involved in the explosions during the Boston Marathon.
Mass transit services were shut down and authorities instituted a stay-indoors request, which meant people had to remain in their homes. At that time, it was not immediately known how long residents would have to remain indoors.
The City of Scottsdale is holding two classes to help people and families prepare for emergencies, including what supplies to keep readily available in the house.
