Ali Chitsaz update: Scottsdale man gets prison for child molestation

PHOENIX - A Scottsdale man accused of molesting a young family acquaintance has been sentenced to 35 years in prison and lifetime probation.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 33-year-old Ali Chitsaz was sentenced Friday.

They say Chitsaz earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted molestation of a child, two counts of molestation of a child and one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

He was arrested in October 2011 and originally charged on 37 counts including sexual conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and furnishing obscene materials to a minor.

Investigators say the abuse occurred at Chitsaz's condominium in Scottsdale while he was babysitting the then 6-year-old boy.
