ABC15’s Dave Biscobing hit the links on Tuesday in a charity golf tournament to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
Biscobing participated in the Bob Uecker Front Row Classic, hosted at Grayhawk Golf Club in north Scottsdale. Uecker is a former professional baseball player and a famous sportscaster, comedian and actor.
Uecker says his support for Make-A-Wish started in the 80’s when one boy’s lived out his dream by hanging out with him on the set of “Mr. Belvedere,” “I hung out with him all day and that kind of hooked me.”
The event was organized by Uecker along with 1 Degree Management. Proceeds are being donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation , which grants wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.
The charity recently made headlines for granting the wish of a 5-year-old boy who dressed up like Batman and cleaned up the streets of San Francisco.
More than 100 people played in the Front Row Classic, including several current and former pro athletes from the Arizona Cardinals, other NFL teams and Major League Baseball.
