2 horses killed near 68th Street, Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Two horses are dead after escaping from their fenced yard in Scottsdale.

According to Scottsdale police spokesman Mark Clark, two horses bolted across Shea Boulevard  near 69th Street and were struck by a car.

Both horses were killed on impact, Clark said.

The drivers of the vehicles did not report any injuries.

The eastbound lanes of Shea Boulevard were restricted while the horses were removed from the road.
