PARADISE VALLEY, AZ - Paradise Valley police have identified the victim in Tuesday’s homicide.
In a press release Friday morning, officials identified the victim as 68-year-old Michael Gilman.
According to police, the resident's personal assistant called authorities after finding the body about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Lt. Michael Cole says the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We don’t believe residents in the neighborhood are in danger or fear of reoccurrence based on evidence found at the scene,” said Cole.
The home is located in a gated community called Colonia Miramonte. The subdivision shares a road with the Camelback Inn. It's under 24-hour surveillance and has a guard gate.
Cole says the last murder before that was eight years ago.
