PD: Possible kidnapping ends in Phoenix

FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ - Authorities say a possible kidnapping came to a peaceful end Monday afternoon.

Payson Police Department Sgt. Donald Garvin said the incident started around 1:30 p.m.

A woman called 911 saying her son had her in a pickup truck and would not let her go.

After contacting the woman's husband, officers were able to pick up the suspect's trail at a Fry's Food Store in Fountain Hills.

From there, officials say he was tracked to a strip center near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road where he was later arrested.

Authorities say the woman was not injured.

There is no word at this time what, if any, charges the woman's son is facing at this time.
