CAVE CREEK, AZ - There are all kinds of ways to "get your country kicks" right here in the Valley, you just have to know where to look.
Inside the Buffalo Chip Saloon, the band is playing and the crowd is dancing, but the real entertainment is outside.
The Cave Creek saloon is the go-to place for live, professional bull riding.
Levi Hetzel is a professional bull rider from Queen Creek. For him, riding is a family tradition and an adrenaline rush that can't be beat.
"A good ride would be making the whistle. We only have to ride for eight seconds, sometimes it seems like that eight seconds is an eternity. It's hard to make that eight seconds," says Levi.
Even amateurs get in the ring. Rachel Lopez's aunt suited up and took her first ride. She held on, but got a little scraped up.
Rachel says riding the bull was on her aunt's bucket list. "She got kicked a little hard but you know she's a tough lady. She'll be okay."
Rachel says she finds it hard to believe the whole experience is just a short ride away from Phoenix.
"Yeah, it's crazy. But it's good entertainment to say the least!"
