Multiple Arizona highways experienced traffic backups and slowing as large numbers of travelers headed to the Phoenix area late Monday afternoon at the end of the Labor Day weekend.
Multiple car fires over the weekend slowed down traffic on Interstate 17 causing headaches and miles of backup for eager travelers who wound up stuck on the roadway.
