MCSO: Teen critical after falling out of truck

Officials are investigating after a teenager fell out of a truck in Anthem.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said a 17-year-old was riding in the back of the pickup with three other friends when he fell out of the bed of the truck.

The boy was transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened on private property near Anthem Way and Gavilan Peak Parkway.

There are no signs of impairment at this time.
