ANTHEM, AZ - A 39-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car while riding his motorcycle Monday night.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Joaquin Enriquez said the accident happened around 10:15 p.m. near Interstate 17 and Anthem Way.
Enriquez said the man was stopped at a red light when he was rear-ended by a car driven by a 41-year-old man.
Authorities said both men were transported to local hospitals. The motorcyclist is in critical condition. The condition of the other driver is unknown at this time.
Enriquez said alcohol appears to be a factor.
