An accident between a semi-trailer and a passenger car closed a portion of Interstate-8 in Arizona Friday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that a semi-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided about 20 miles west of Gila Bend along the Interstate-8 Friday morning.
The eastbound lanes of Interstate-8 were temporarily closed so a medical helicopter could land to assist with injured passengers. No information was available on how many people were injured or their conditions.
ADOT said that Interstate-8 was cleared and reopened shortly after 11 a.m.
No other information was immediately available.
