Baby located after kidnapping in Yuma, Alfredo Lopez arrested

YUMA, AZ - An Amber Alert has been recalled after a one-month-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped by a man in Yuma was located.

Yuma police say the suspect is in custody and the baby, Azriel, was located safely.

Alfredo Lopez, the child's 23-year-old, non-custodial father, reportedly took the child by force around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

Lopez was taken into custody without incident, Yuma police said.

Lopez is also reportedly accused of aggravated assault during the kidnapping. Officials say Lopez forced his way into the home, pushed the child's mother and cut her lip. While leaving, he ran over another family member's leg.
