TUCSON, AZ - A University of Arizona student is stirring up controversy after holding up signs on campus saying "You deserve rape" and "Sorority Girls are Whores."
Dean Saxton is studying religion and decided to show up with the signs the same day UofA was promoting awareness of violence against women.
According to the Associated Press, Saxton said he was holding the signs because he believes women wear clothes that will lead to sexual assault.
Saxton said: "Most of these girls on this campus are asking to be raped... and a lot of them will get it. Why don't you girls sew on some clothes that actually cover up?"
The university said it couldn't do anything to stop Saxton because he didn't violate the school's code of conduct.
