Tucson woman injured in hit-and-run

TUCSON, AZ - Tucson police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a woman early Saturday and left her critically injured.

It happened just after 2:00 a.m. in the 72000 block of East 22nd Street.

KOLD-TV reports officers arrived and found a 32 year-old woman in the roadway with severe injuries.

The victim is now in critical condition at a local hospital.

Tucson police Sgt. Marie Hawke says the woman was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.

Police are now looking for a newer model, red Chevrolet, full-sized, and lifted pick-up truck. The truck may have had tinted rear windows.

It was last seen headed westbound on East 22nd Street.
