Tucson shoplifter escapes by throwing soda can at store employee

TUCSON, AZ - Authorities in Tucson are looking for a female shoplifter who fled after assaulting a store employee with a soda can.

Detectives say the woman was seen by employees of a TJ Maxx store putting shoes, underwear and other clothing in her purse.

A loss prevention employee of the store confronted the suspect. But she reportedly pushed him out of the way and then threw a soda can at him, striking him in the chest before running out of the store.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department says the woman is described as being in her 20s with reddish hair.
Anyone with information about the identity or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
